Eligibility

Who can apply?

Students in Thailand from Grades 1–12, including public, private, homeschool, and international schools. Non-native English speakers only.

Submission

Video speech

Submit a 90–120 second English speech video through the online application form. Links may be from YouTube, Google Drive, OneDrive, or Dropbox.

Application fee

750 THB

Applicants submit payment evidence in the application form. Fees are non-refundable unless the organizer cancels the competition.

Grand Finale

24 finalists

The top 6 students from each division advance to the live Grand Finale at SSRU.

Video requirements

  • One-take video, no editing of speech content or audio.
  • Portrait orientation is recommended.
  • The speaker must be clearly visible and audible.
  • No voice-over, AI voice, teleprompter, or real-time translation tools.

Grand Finale rules

  • Finalists receive an impromptu speech topic on competition day.
  • Preparation time: 1 minute.
  • Speech time: 90–120 seconds.
  • No internet, AI tools, reference books, or prepared full scripts in the preparation room.
Originality, AI, and academic integrity

Applicants may use digital tools for research and idea development, but the final speech must be organized, understood, and delivered by the applicant. The committee may ask follow-up questions in the Grand Finale to verify understanding.

Copyright and personal data

Applicants retain copyright ownership of their work while granting the organizers permission to use submitted materials for non-commercial promotion, education, reporting, and related activities. Personal data will be used only for competition administration and related communication.

Final decision

The judging committee’s decision is final. The committee reserves the right to interpret rules and handle exceptional cases in the best interest of the competition.
